Jesús Monllaó was born in Tarragona (Spain) in 1967. He graduated in Anglo-Germanic Philology and studied aMaster in Media Production at Christ Church University College at Canterbury (England). He’s written, produced and directed 3 short films, all of them nationally and internationally awarded: THE OBLIQUE GLANCE (nominated for the Spanish Goya Awards 2002), GLORIA (Jury Award at the LUCANIA FILM FESTIVAL in Italy) and THE LEGACY (selected by FNAC for the prestigious collection The “Best Spanish Short Films 2006”). In 2007 he directed a documentary (The Kuleshov Effect, the Faces of the California). “Fill de Caín” is his first feature film.
